My wife and I moved to Huntington Village in 2018. We were quite familiar with Gold River, having purchased property in the area and having friends and family that lived here for many years. I take great pride in where I live. Living here has given me the opportunity to contribute to the Gold River community through my work on several of the Homeowner Village boards and GRCA in contributing to maintain the high quality of life and environment Gold River provides.

Huntington Village:
I currently serve as Treasurer on the HOA Board of Directors. I oversee the preparation of the Village budget, including planning for reserves and reviewing of monthly financial and bank reports.
In addition, I serve as Landscape Chair for the Village.
Manor Homes 1 & 2:
I currently serve as Treasurer on the Manor Homes Homeowners Association 1 and 2 Board of Directors. My responsibilities include overseeing the preparation of the annual budget including planning for reserves and reviewing monthly financial and bank reports.
Landscape Committee – I also am a member of the Landscape Committee with responsibilities including selection of a new landscape contractor, resulting in much improved landscape appearance.
Roofing Committee and Project -I also serve on the Roofing Committee, with responsibilities that included assisting in monitoring of the roofing project which was completed in 2023, and included reroofing 46 buildings with 119 units. This project included funding with a bank loan and roofing contractor selection.
GRCA:
Finance Committee Chairman since 2023, and GRCA’s Special Financial Advisor.
I assist in annual budget preparation, and work with Browning Group on the annual Reserve Study
I also serve on the GRCA Landscape Committee
Other HOA Experience:
I have over 25 years of experience serving on HOA boards in the capacity of either Treasurer or President This included a 124-unit condo complex with many challenges and a community of 225 single family homes.
Career: Accounting, Finance and Management CPA/Chief Financial Officer
CPA – I worked in public accounting for 9 years, served varied clientele in Audit, Tax, Review, Write-up services and Corporate and Individual tax preparation. I also provided business consulting in the purchase and sale of businesses.
CFO – Private Industry- I worked for 30 years in private industry, with my last 26 years as CFO for Quik Stop Markets (a wholly owned subsidiary of the Kroger Company) which operated 120+ Franchised and Company operated convenience stores and gasoline facilities. My responsibilities included full scope of financial management and reporting, leases, acquisitions, business planning and budgeting, staff management, including IT and HR as well as accounting. Retired 2017.
Summary
I believe my professional experience, coupled with my experience with various Homeowner Village Boards and GRCA positions me well to serve on the Board of Directors for GRCA.
