My name is John Sedar, and I am eager to announce my candidacy for the 2025 GRCA Board of Directors. For the past 33 years, my wife, Karen, and I have been proud residents of Gold River’s Pioneer Village, where we have raised our children and built lasting connections within our community.
Throughout my 28 years of service on the Pioneer Village Homeowners Board, including multiple terms as President, I have consistently demonstrated my commitment to our Village. Together with fellow board members, I have worked diligently to foster a collaborative environment among homeowners, maintain a harmonious community, and ensure financial responsibility. By negotiating favorable Village landscape contracts and carefully managing expenses, we succeeded in keeping our Village both beautiful and a wise investment for all.
In addition to my work with the Village Homeowners Board, I currently serve on the Pioneer Village and GRCA Architectural Control Committees. My 40 years of experience as a residential builder and developer bring valuable insights to these roles.
With my recent retirement, I am ready to devote my time, energy, and passion to preserving and enhancing the remarkable Gold River community that has been our home for three decades.
I believe my extensive experience and proven leadership skills in both the Gold River community and as a business owner uniquely position me to serve on the GRCA Board of Directors.
I am deeply committed to upholding the high standards and exceptional quality of life that make Gold River a truly special place to live.
